Excellent service form the team at Mid Wales Motorrad. What Mike and Phil can do at their new mid wales service centre is excellent, top rate workmanship in great riding county and good value as well. Use them to service my R1150GSA and recommend others to them when i get calls in my own workshop. Good prices on consumables such as tyres etc as well. Recommended.
So pleased I found this gem of a motorcycle Service / repair centre. Phil and Mike are not only efficient, (which can be a rarity in the industry today), but are also very friendly and welcoming. Their unbounded knowledge and expertise is refreshing; it is a compliment when I say they are "old school", and after 50yrs of owning bikes I hope I can comment with some authority. Happy to highly recommend to anybody, and whichever way you approach their location is a cracking ride as a bonus!
Excellent ,professional service again. On changing my bike to a R1200RT it was professionally checked over and issues fixed in a timely way. New tyres fitted with excellent tyre fitting equipment .Quality service with extensive experience of all things BMW motorcycles. Great riding roads abound in the surrounding area.
We were traveling from Germany with 2 BMW R 1200 GS in Wales. Suddenly my bike had a sawing idle and misfires when accelerating. We happened to have passed Midwales motorbike the day before and noticed the sign on the road. We drove there directly from our campsite, only 20 km away, the next morning. Unfortunately, the restless idle was no longer there. What luck! Phil and Mike immediately stopped the work in progress and took care of me. A defective ignition coil was diagnosed directly and replaced on the spot. Incidentally, my partner's motorcycle was briefly checked. As we drove on, the sawing idling came back, we drove straight back and now the error was still there. This enabled the defective throttle valve potentiometer to be found as the cause. So that my holiday could continue, Phil installed a used spare part for me and got me a new BMW original part in Cardiff the next day, which he then installed for me at 8pm (!) in the evening. The two in the workshop know what they are doing. They immediately found two independent errors and fixed them as quickly as possible - and saved my vacation. Best recommendation and many, many thanks! If it wasn't so far from Germany, I would go back to Midwales Motorrad for the next service! They have earned 6 stars ****** !
These boys are proper bike engineers. I called at about 1pm with my 350 Husqvarna sputtering its guts out on my way to Strata Florida. I limped it in to these boys, at about 3pm after calling them. I was thinking fuel pump relay or fuel pump. Phil, the Silverback engineer and his son, Mike, were expert. Phil heard me run my bike up, ignored my random speculation, got the nearest spark plug to spec he could get in my bike from stock and saved my Welsh trail 3 dayer. Charged half an hours labour for a bit more than half an hour, but got me to take my tank off so he could get to my spark plug. If you like your engineers old school, skilled and "can do" come here. Proper family place with skilled mechanics. Top lads. I can see why people travel here from all over Wales and the Borders. One lad rolled in from Manchester.
